Notre Dame Legend Offers Blunt Assessment of Tennessee

A Notre Dame legend has offered a blunt view of Tennessee, saying in comments covered by A to Z Sports that the Volunteers' best simply is not good enough.

The remark, shared as the former Notre Dame figure gave his true feelings about the Vols, is the kind of outside assessment that tends to circulate quickly among Tennessee fans. No additional detail about the setting for the comments was available in the material provided, and the speaker was not named there.

For Tennessee, the significance is in perception as much as anything else. Comments like this become part of the national conversation around the program, and the Vols' best response is the one they can make on the field in their upcoming games.
