What South Carolina needs to do to beat Tennessee, according to a new breakdown

A new breakdown from On3 looks at the matchup from South Carolina's side and lays out three keys for the Gamecocks in a win over Tennessee. The piece frames the game as one South Carolina can win, provided it executes in the specific areas the analysis identifies.

For Tennessee, that perspective is a useful reminder of where the danger lies in this matchup. Opponents preparing for the Volunteers will have a clear plan for how to attack them and how to limit what Tennessee does best, and the Gamecocks' path, as outlined in the breakdown, centers on hitting those points rather than hoping for mistakes.

The Volunteers' task is therefore straightforward in principle: make sure none of those keys come to pass. If Tennessee can disrupt South Carolina's plan early and force the Gamecocks away from the formula the breakdown describes, it will go a long way toward leaving this matchup with a win.
