Five-star Tennessee running back pledge David Gabriel Georges impresses with Heupel and Sims watching

Five-star running back David Gabriel Georges, who is committed to Tennessee, delivered a standout performance with head coach Josh Heupel and Sims in attendance to watch him play. The showing, captured in video coverage of the game, gave the Volunteers' staff a firsthand look at one of the most highly regarded players in the program's recruiting class.

For Tennessee, a performance like that carries weight beyond a single night. A five-star commitment at running back is the kind of addition that can shape an offense in the years ahead, and having the head coach there in person underscores how important Georges is to the staff's plans.

It also offers a reassuring sign for the Volunteers as they work to hold onto a prized pledge. When a committed player produces at that level in front of the coaches who recruited him, it reinforces why Tennessee made him such a priority in the first place.
